As adults we work hard but shouldn’t you have the opportunity to play too? The Mattoon Area Family YMCA has open registration for many adult sports leagues. Consider Adult Co-ed Volleyball, 3 on 3 Basketball or even the Outdoor Tennis League to keep you active and interactive with others.

Adult Co-ed Volleyball is set to begin July 12. The season will include seven weeks of matches followed by a single elimination tournament. This fun league meets on Wednesday evenings with matches beginning at 7 p.m.. Get your team together and give the Y a call or stop in to register. Early registration is available until June 9. Current fees are as follows: $20 for Y members; $40 for non-members. Fees will increase by $10 beginning June 10th with registration closing July 7. Teams may consist of anyone 16 years of age or older.

The Y’s next 3 on 3 Basketball League will begin July 6. Open to anyone over 16, games will be played on Thursday nights. After seven weeks of play, a single elimination tournament will recognize the season champs. The winning team members will receive a t-shirt and a $20 credit to be used at the Y. Each person interested in playing will register as an individual but will be prompted to give their team name. Current registration fees are as follows: $20 for Y members; $40 for non-members. Fees will increase by $10 on June 6 with registration closing on June 27.

Monday nights at Lytle Park can be a great setting for a tennis match. Join the Mattoon Y’s summer tennis league to stay active and outdoors. Matches are played as doubles with partner arrangements varying each week. All skill levels are encouraged to play.
