Remote Medical Technologies (RMT) has developed and released its first mobile application, which is available for all RMT clients. RMTConnect™ allows clinicians to quickly and securely participate in live, dynamic streaming of HD video and audio sessions from their iPhone™ or iPad™. Moderators allow guest participants to join a session, jointly annotate images, and record snapshots and movies for instant image sharing and decision-making among collaborating experts.
RMT’s iMedHD2™ has been fully functional with all mobile devices since 2014, however, this application differs from RMT’s past mobile connectivity. Users are able to take advantage of RMT’s new Smart Login capabilities. This application can be downloaded for free through iTunes™. RMTConnect™ requires iOS 8.0, or later, and is fully compatible with iPhone™, iPad™, and iPod™ touch.
RMT Founder and CEO, Don Marchon, explains that “medical facility workflows have drastically changed to include the use of mobile devices. RMTConnect™ is another way that we can assist our clients in providing them the most secure streamlined process for remote telemedicine.” This “minimal-click application with Smart Login” is available to all RMT customers for the use with telepathology or teleultrasound applications upon installation and implementation. RMT installed base users who are interested in utilizing RMTConnect™ should contact their sales representative to ensure that their facility is properly upgraded and configured for this new capability. New facilities will have this functionality built into the system. This telemedicine solution is easily customizable and expandable.
