Steven Bowen, a fire investigator with the Unified Fire Authority in Salt Lake County, and his dog, Lari, work with the ATF’s national response team to investigate fires and detect accelerants. They’ll help investigate the scene of the Windsor Mill.
An upcoming pet first-aid class will teach Northern Colorado pet-owners how to care for their dogs in case of an emergency.
The four-hour class, offered in the morning and afternoon of Oct. 1, will focus on common pet emergencies such as ingestion of toxins, hypothermia, heat stroke, blocked airways, cuts and falls. The course costs $75 and will take place at JAX Fort Collins Outdoor Gear, 1200 N. College Ave.
