How does computer, internet access at the library help you? – News – The Miami News-Record

MIAMI – If you have used the Miami Public Library’s computers, our wifi, our website, or any of the electronic resources that we offer such as OverDrive, RBDigital,, etc., take our survey and register for prizes.

Beginning Sept. 18 and running through Oct. 13, the library will be conducting the Impact Survey, a survey to better understand how our community benefits from technology resources at the library. This information will help the library improve its technology services and communicate the value of providing these services. The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. The Oklahoma Department of Libraries purchased a statewide license to enable libraries such as ours to conduct this survey.

People from all walks of life use library resources and services to perform routine and life-changing tasks, from emailing friends to finding jobs. The Miami Public Library offers free computer and Internet access, free wifi, free access to many databases that enable people to do such tasks as researching family genealogy on Heritage Quest, learning a new software program on, or downloading eBooks on OverDrive. We also provide links on our website to the best information for health sites, job search sites, government information sites and more.

The survey will be available on our website at and may be taken on:

library computers
personal laptops using free wifi at the library
any computer with Internet access

paper surveys will be available at the front desk

At the end of the survey, there will be an opportunity for Ottawa County residents or nonresidents who use our library to register for a drawing for some prizes offered by the library. These will include:
