1. Always wear sunscreen

No matter what time of year it is, you should always wear sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 when you are outside. Make sure it provides both UVA and UVB protection because these two rays damage the skin’s layers, lead to wrinkles and are responsible for skin cancers. Every two to four hours, you should also re-apply your sunblock with 1 to 2 ounces to stay safe.
2. Cover up
Although sunscreen can help protect your skin from the sun, you should not rely solely on sunscreen for sun protection. So it is necessary for you to cover up to block as much UVA and UVB rays as possible. You can protect exposed skin by donning a lightweight long-sleeved shirt and pants that are tightly knit and have a special coating to help absorb the UV rays. You should also wear a hat with a wide brim to shield your head, face, neck and ears. In addition, you can create your own shade with an umbrella and a pair of sunglasses.
3. Stay out of the sun during peak midday hours
Midday hours from 10 am to 3 pm are the time when the strongest and most harmful UV rays of the sun are emitted. So try to avoid these peak hours to stay away from sun exposure that can do serious damage to your skin.
